Hope not.
Early Saturday morning, my luvly 1998 vintage Stumpjumper got nicked from a friend's shed.
And today, the front wheel (Mavic Ksyrium) of my new-ish road bike got pringled when it run was over by car driver emerging from driveway.

However, I did win £3.30 on an old Euro lottery ticket.

Is the car driver going to pay for it?

They have offered to pay without going through insurance, but, when they see the price of repair or replacement, they may baulk.
I have a text message from her apologising and offering to pay.
Will get whole bike inc. wheel properly checked out by LBS tomorrow.

Mods. I posted this in wrong forum.
Stick it in the Cafe, or General Cycling please. Wherever you think fit.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Worth checking the integrity of the fork as well if the front wheel is trashed ?

I had been in similar situation. The car driver paid for the wheel.
You may need to report this to the Police if they are refusing to pay. It will have an impact on their no claim bonus.

I have my doubts about that. The police are not interested unless personal injury is involved.
