Why is it that commuting trouble sometimes seems to come in threes? First idiot was the taxi driver who decided to cut across me on Piccadilly, almost taking out my front wheel (

), the second was a Celica driver undertaking me on Clerkenwell Road (

) and the final one was the same Celica driver brushing my leg and nudging me into the wing mirror of a Post Office van, unfortunately not really caught on camera.

What is it about the early morning that makes these idiots a menace on the roads? The videos would have looked even more scary had the sun not been so low in the sky!

It's a shame the reg numbers don't really show up due to the sun. I'd definitely be reporting the Celica driver and probably the cabbie too.

I did manage to get the registration numbers of both from the original HiDef video. Have stuck them into the Met's Roadsafe site. I've only been commuting with the ContourHD stuck to my helmet for a week... but then again I guess these occurrences are why I got it in the first place!

And yep, I do commute very early: leave the house at 06:15 and get to work just after 7am. I doubt I'd be cycling down Piccadilly if it was any later!

Appalling driving from both of them. It is a shame that reg numbers aren't really visible as you should report them. I'd definitely report the cabbie as I hear so many stories about their dreadful driving when it comes to cyclists.
