Hi

Does anyone have any advise about cycling with two children to school.

They are 7 and 5 yeasr old.

The journey is just under a mile (two considrable hills)

I was going to use our Hase Pinio and attach a trailer for the lighter child, but this was stoeln two weeks ago. So time for a rethink since we could not afford a new pino.

My first chioce was a pashley U-Plus-two but these are now out of production

Don't Thorn do an equivalent to the Pashley? Try ebay?

ebay is a good idea, as the stolen pinio might be there.

To be honest, I'd just walk any distance under a mile; as I used to when my kids were that age.

Yhat could well be the least helpful post I have seen in a long time.

It's so sad to hear about your Pino - you must be gutted. I'd love to have one myself, and I can quite understand not being able to afford another one.

I wonder if you could put your 5yr old on a trailerbike and have your 7yr old ride in front (or behind)?

The Pashley U+2 is a two wheel base trailer bike which removes the "flick" that one wheel trailer bikes suffer from when the rider moves. For this reason the use of "tandem" trailer bikes is fraught with hazards.

The Thorn answer is a kiddy back triplet (MeNU2, Triplet, Trident) which has changed over the years with various forms.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and advice

I recognise it is a short journey. but is followed 2 days a week with a 6 mile trip to BR station,.

My hope is that their confidence grows to cycle on thier solo's albeit accompanied, later.

Hi Chris,
I have a U plus 2 for sale. Our children have grown out of it. They used it when they were 7 and 5 for the school run (and more).

We are asking £250. We are in Reading.
