What, on your bike?
I'm really pleased you're ankle is healing and I really...no really...hope no further misfortune befalls you

What, on your bike?

2 months isn't too shoddy. I didn't get on my bike for nearly a year after I broke my wrist. It was a right mess and I was off work for 8 months with it.
I didn't think that I would mind the rain, as long as I could get on my bike and ride. I was proved wrong during the first downpour though![]()
Well done!
I took the chance and managed a mile on Thursday and three miles on Friday heading over to York for the weekend. It was slow and limited to 1st and 2nd gear on the Brompton over short distances.
So much easier then walking|!![]()

Oh, I might be able to keep up with you at the moment, then!

Yes, pity the docs won't say so.It is easier than walking, isn't it? I can't walk, or lurch, much more than a couple of hundred metres without the orthopedic boot - but cycling is easier and rather less painful.

Cheers!I'm full of admiration for both of you.
I'll be feeling like that at some point, can't wait!I've just been out for a 23 miler - my first ride for five weeks, and I'm completely done in.![]()

Eight months for a broken wrist? Ouch, that must have been quite a bad break. I hope your wrist is back to normal now.
or so he told me. A medical term that another consultant used was 'banjaxed'. They do like their technical speak, do doctors. In and out of plaster for 12 weeks in the end. They threatened to re break it a couple of times, then they were going to operate and pin it, then they said to let nature take its course and so on and so forth. 2 years down the line, 3 consultants later they say that the wrist is as OK as its ever going to get now. Its an odd shape and my radius is about 7mm shorter than it was when it started out and I have about 40% bone wastage there too which leaves me with limited movement and getting on the drops is rather uncomfortable at times. I can no longer flip pancakes
but I do alright apart from that. Its annoying more than anything.
