1) I snubbed the Princess Royal at a Royal Yacht charity reception, oh how we laughed!

2) I sold my Beetle to buy an engagement ring, and my first 'racing bike' with the left-over money.

3) I won a national competition to design NASA's Space Shuttle Departure Lounge.

I reckon it's gotta be 3, because I don't suppose astronauts have a "departure lounge". I'd imagine them more in a briefing room, or something like that.

[The NASA competition was for a concept for the first public passenger departure lounge- sponsored by the RIAS and Atcost... in 1982! It was the prize money from that bought the ring and the bike since it wouldn't pay for the repairs on my Beetle]
