Just a heads up on two Vikings on the prowl from Trondheim, Norway down to Portugal and then from the Patagonia in Chile up to the the top of Alaska again during the next 2 years. The ultimate adventure.
Why do I know about them ? A very funny story actually. Well, I think it is funny, but you may disagree. Here it goes........ 2 years ago, I was on my Western Isle bikeride, day 1 on the A83 from Tarbert to Lochgilphead when I met these two vikings cycling south. I met them at the Crinan Canal. I lazy said hi as I always do when meeting other cyclists when I suddenly noticed the Norwegian flag. The brakes was applied and I came to a sudden stop. So I shouted over to them in Norwegian and we had a chat.
They were on a bike ride around Scotland, Isle Of Man and Ireland before they returned to back to Norway. Plenty of pictures and mostly Norwegian text at their blog.
Their blog from both that tour and the one they are on now can be found here. I will notify them about this thread and I hope they will come over to us and give us updates, useful words of wisdom and insights into what they are doing.
