Jeez, Tynan - not again! Central London peds are unpredictable idiots, they do the most irrational things. You really have to watch them, but if they leap out from behind a van, there's not much you can do.

Hope you don't take too long to mend.

Yes must admit now im too nervous for this very reason of a ped crossing in heavy traffic between the cars and buses/lorries.It's not worth haring about in heavy traffic with this risk.

Morning all, feeling on the mend already, the GP giving me the all clear bucked me up a lot, I was expecting A7E and bad news and the oestiopath must have helped

got the use of the arm now as long as I don't put any weight through the shoulder or ask the biceps/triceps to anything exciting, the hole in the hip is annoying as it's right on the line of the belt/elastic but it's healing and closed now hopefully

on the ibuprofen and icing the choulder for 30 minutes threee times a day as ordered, back to see the oestiopath on Monday evening, for the other shoulder as it happens but might as well get two for one, this shoulder is clearly nothing like as bad as last years, thank gawd

get the bike into the shop Monday hopefully and see what's what

seeing the neuro wallah on Monday afternoon to get the disc on the spine and the gammy head synapses checked out, my claim is basically settled now as long as Monday afternoon gives the all clear, a shade under £9k for the PI

on the train for the next week I expect, oh well

good news: forks are almost certainly ok, front wheel being rebuild on Tuesday by the decent looking London Bicycle Repair something off Union Street, a stiff 0.7 mile walk with a bike with a clown style front wheel and a suspect shoulder

bad news: the cut on my hip that the wife and the mother in law said needed stitches, and secretly I thought so too, only I didn't want to go to A&E and anyway my shoulder hurt far more, is 'probably infected' according to an impresively bored doctor in Whipps Cross A&E. Certainly it's a lot more than very sore and looks rather ugly, it certainly hasn't got better in a week and a half, GP in the morning

sigh

Hey Tynan! I missed this until now (must have came up on my week away.

Sorry to hear about the incident and the injuries (esp the infected wound). They'll blitz that with antibiotics I'm sure.

Get ye better soon!
