as ever, no quarter whatsoever, after the famous lasagnagate victory we arrived in the Woodin Shades at Liverpool Street very very much the worse for wear, there were a few totts at the bar looking sorry for themselves, one youngish and admittedly simple looking totts actually asked me why we beat them, there was nothing in it for us.

the geordies are on my not awfully short list of clubs that I be quietly pleased if they exploded, burnt to the ground and then fell into the sea, totts too, natch

day two of antibiotics, hip much less sore, the melanin (?) plasters from Sainsburys are the ones I've just have used from the start, nice mix of stay on all day and light

no insurance involved at all, forks are officially fine, yay, the bike shop man called me this morning, pre build, he's remembered that he has a pair of mint 36 spoke campag something wheels that he heartedly recommends, comparible with the Mavic Open Pros and a bit stronger, built them for himself blah blah, double somethinged, do i want them, the back wheel is well on the way (true, there's a nasty ding in the rim that got a long teeth sucking look from my regular LBS when they saw it)

yes double butted spokes, I think, is that good? it sounds good

the hip was indeed infected, not sure how as I looked after it but I suppose it was gaping fairly wide open and started off with some contact with the road/tights
