I have had a look for an answer elsewhere but have been unable to find one, apologies if this has been asked before.
I am currently building a bike from a hybrid frame that I have aquired, and am wondering if I can get 700c mountain bike tyres that to go on it?
I will be using this bike for 2 purposes, riding to work on light trails and going on the odd weekend ride on the local trails and fire roads. I have a set of hybrid tyres for the first purpose (700c X 43 I think) so that isn't an issue.
For the second purpose the hybrid tyres would be no use as I would be riding on fireroads and they are like riding on ice! I don't plan on doing any real rough trails on this bike so the frame wouldn't be getting any real abuse, I have an old cheap mountain bike for that!!
If anyone has any advice or links to recommended tyres that'd be great!
