speed, durability, resistance and price in roughly equal measure

no idea about weight, they can weigh as mucghh as they like if they're quick

P' resistance and speed, fortunately my usual LBS goes cheap Conti GatorSkins so it is an easy choice...

Puncture resistance first use specialised crossroads armadillo on the tourer .
Scwalbe city jets on the ex single and Specialised nimbus on the nexus (though i really should take these off as it's a bike that hardly gets used ) ,never really bothered about the price issue to be honest

Given that this question has been asked within commuting, I would say Grip & P' resistance are my only priorities.
