Tyre marks/stains on carpet

Hi All

Anyone know how to remove tyre rubber marks from a carpet.

I lifted the back and span back wheel to put in low gear and mistakenly stopped the wheel on the carpet

Something like Didi7 will do it, if you can find it before your Missus gets home. I keep a tube squirreled away for similar man emergencies.

Thanks, I've looked at that, wondered if anybody has had first hand experience of cleaning tyre marks

Automotive brake cleaner tends to shift most things.
Try a test patch first though.

WD40 on a very clean rag?

Lighter fluid (not gas) tends to be good at that sort of thing. Test on an unobtrusive area first! My back wheel once slipped off a roller/turbo type thing. Melted the carpet right down to the boards!

Must be one of hell of an unforgiving partner if it requires a divorce lawyer for a rubber stained carpet

Wash or try
Good old wd 40
I get all the tar and oil marks of our work carpets..

Spray a little ,allow to soak in for 30 seconds..rub with dry cloth..
Spray some febreez or whatever if wd is offensive to the snout
