On a 32mm Conti Urban about 90 psi. But as you know, track pumps may easily have a 5 psi error either way. Thus it may be 85 psi or 95 psi. I then leave it for weeks, and only add more air once noticeable soft. I think the max for the tyres is 100 psi.
As long as it’s not noticeably soft, and removes most of the road buzz, then you are golden. The sweet spot for tyre pressure, will be a range for you, and might differ from another person of even the same weight. Plus you’ll want lower pressures if you have rougher roads.

came up in the list - for people who absolutely want the best and don't care what it costs.

The pressure imprinted on the tyres is the max (and sometimes the min as well). That is not necessarily the best.

I was told thsi week (by a fellow Brompton user) that his tyres were deflating a little and the shop told him they have to be at 100psi otherwise that happens 
My suspicion is that because they have started off so hard he now won't notice if a little is lost?, because he states they were correct as they haven't deflated
Unless there's something odd about the valves (I can't imagine they have 'special' valves that look the same as standard) this doesn't make sense, other than.......
The rate at which they lose pressure is likely to be higher because the initial pressure is higher, but until they reach a lower pressure (noticeable to the user) he won't err notice?
