tyre recommendations

Front schwalbe marathon racer 20 x1.5 tyre's on my bike and tonight the cords bust leaving me with a large bulge on one side.

question is what do i replace it with, searched the web and the only 20 x 1.5 tyre for sale seems to be the schwalbe.

any recomendations.

I like Schwalbe, sounds like you probably had some damage on the tyre you had not noticed, but if you really do not want Schwalbe then the Vittoria Randonneur is a good tyre available in that size. They are £18.

I like Marathon Plus. No issues at all in over 2000 miles.

I run a Conti Sport Contact 20 x 1.1/8 on the front of my Giro with no problems

Lee, I have Kojaks all round on my Expedition including a 2" on the back, they are great, fast but comfy and no visits from the fairy on the Kentish country lanes.

i went for schwalbe marathon racer folding, it was the only tyre in the 20 x 1.5 size i could find, the size was important as i wanted the biggest tyre that would fit without fouling the mudguard, just have to remember to check it a bit more often.
