My rear on my winter bike is worn out and I'm replacing it. When the new tyre comes (dispatched tonight) I'm thinking of putting it on the front and shifting the existing front to the rear. Is that reasonable or should I just swap the rear ?
Cheers, I thought that thread was just about rotating tyres which Sheldon advises of the danger of doing so but there's some good advice advocating what I want to do.
The best tyre should always go on the front so rather than rotating rear to front I would purchase new and put this on the front and the older front on the rear.
