Local Residents just like to fuss fuss fuss...there's always something wrong.

They should just shut the road for a week next year...then even if the guy isn't punished everyone else will be so annoyed that he got the road shut for 6 more days will take it out on him

Assuming the miscreant gets community service - what punishment would be most fitting

Attempted murder my arse.
I take it you've never experienced deliberate multiple sudden p'tures on a downhill bend in a pack. One or two natural p'tures are controllable but multiple deliberate p'tures leading to very rapid failure is extremely dangerous. Attempted Mass Murder is a bit strong but its certainly more serious than the Tom & Jerry moment the culprit pictured.

I once had a flat on a corner and my weight shifted and it did feel like it was going to flip me over. Hardly say it was attempted murder though. Attempted Manslaughter maybe :becool:

I do worry that other muppets will see it as a joke and copy; Tom & Jerry do it and never get hurt :becool: I wouldn't even say it was attempted manslaughter but it is a lot more serious than muppets think.

So God can only be found at church in the company of your neighbours. Mind you I don't remember Jesus building too many churches in the New Testament. You would have thought that a 62 year old would have more to do with his life especially when so little is left!

For one day a f*cking year.

Jesus wept. This bloody country is getting to be a better advertisement for living in France by the day.

If the event were in France, the locals would be scattering bouquets, shouting "bravo!" and enjoying the money it brought to the local economy.

In all seriousness, I think there's a bit more of an appreciation of not having to do EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW, at least in the places in France I've been to. Some shops actually close during the day! Even on Sunday! I've been to one place where the local bakeries had an arrangement where they'd open early on alternate days (presumably so they didn't all have to do the early start all week, in competition with each other).
