Hi all,

Thanks for the help. Total newbie here but i have a Raleigh Evo-2 collapsible bike like this https://www.halfords.com/bikes/folding-bikes/raleigh-evo-2-folding-bike-177059.html and one of my tyres is on its last legs.

i am trying to find a replacement for the tyre which is 20 inches but cant find anywhere what the width of the tyre should be. Could anybody help me figure it out? It is not listed on the existing tyre. or does the tyre width not matter.

Cheers!

Just to note the size is not listed on the sidewall.

The tyre width is not stated as you say so I checked out the B’twin folder which is very similar style and configuration and that has 1.75” x 20” tyres so you should be okay with something like this:

i have this tyre on my bike and can confirm its puncture resistance is good. You could also try a Schwalbe Marathon which are also very good but a little more expensive. Avoid the Marathon plus which is a real barsteward to put on but pretty much bulletproof.
You should be able to get it on without tyre levers by starting at the bottom with both thumbs and work it round both sides to the top.
