Tyre Sizes

Im at present looking to change tyres as the ones im running on are becoming worn and liable to punctures. After checking out various makes ive settled on the Schwalbe Marathon Plus. The size of my current tyres are 26x1.95 and i can only find the Marathon Plus in size 26x1.75, reading one review a user said he had replaced his old 26x1.95 tyres with the marathon Plus 26x1.75, my question is would these definately fit and if so would it be a tight job to get them onto the rims? Also can you get the Marathon Plus in the 26x1.95 size? Cheers.

Yes. 26 x 1.75 will fit your wheel fine.

The first number (26) is the size of your wheel. The second (1.75) is the width of the tyre. Wheel rims do have max and min tyre widths, but 1.75 will be well within range.

In terms of getting them on and off, Marathon tyres can be very tricky as they are so tough. If you use google there are plenty of videos on line on how to change tough tyres. Try this one:-
