I'm guessing you are talking 700's. How about Marathon Plus', they do them in 25's I think. You won't get more puncture resistant then those.

I had a pair of marathon plus 25 tyres. Almost impossible to get on, but once on, they are puncture resistant.

But, the side walls after only a couple of winters, started to split from the main tread part and a "bump" appeared. Threw them away and would not buy again.

How far do you cycle? Two winters sounds like a lot to me.

(I hate M+ and wouldn't install them myself)

Not a great mile eater. A couple of commutes and a Sunday ride, maybe 50-100 miles a week. But put them on about November, when it's gets a bit frosty and would have taken them off towards the end of February. Can't remember if they got thru a second winter or to the start of the third winter, but I ditched them in the November almost as soon as I put them back on. So probably no more than 8 months usage.

Incidentally, i put an old set of Continental Contact 28mm, that I had been using previously and they are still going strong and will probably use the again for the coming winter.

I recently bought some of these Hutchinson's with Kevlar. I don't know how they'll handle in the wet but I've not had a fairy encounter on our local rural lanes with hedge trimmings just pinging away.
