What puncture resistant tyres would you recommend for my 9 mile commute of road, gravel and crappy canal path?

To go on 700c Mavic Open Pro rims, on my single-speed On One Pompi frame. Running 35cm tyres with plenty of clearance now.

Marathon or Marathon plus by Schwalbe 28 or 32c - No brainer

I have used the std 28c Marathons on towpaths and gravel with no problems. They do have a tread pattern that's about 3mm deep.

Marathon racers are much better - lighter and with puncture protection.

Yep, but I wouldn't choose them for riding regularly involving gravel, I'd go M+ for maximum puncture protection, standard Marathon for an in betweener or Marathon Supreme for a deluxe choice. Obviously that is favouring Schwalbe tyres but then I do have 2 sets of M and two sets of M Supreme in the garage/on bikes.
