Hello again guys,
My bike has 27.5" wheels and 27.5 x 2.25 tyres.
Can I put wider tyres on the wheel without getting a wider rim.
Thanks,
Breton

Slightly, yes.

http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html#width but I'm not sure that goes wide enough.

Usually the tyre fouls the fork or stay before it gets too wide for the rim.

I would like 27.5x3.00 but I know that I will need to buy new rims for that, I think!

You probably won't have frame clearance for 650b+ tyres (3.0). You may find 2.4's are a bit tight. Don't forget, it's not just width that changes, but height.

My bike can take 2.6 at the front and 2.35 maximum at the back,so make sure you know the clearance of the chainstays.
Check your bikes specs on their website,or put in "Landrover (whatever it is) tyre clearance" in your search engine
