Looking to make some custom wheels, but don't want to get hit with customs and VAT etc. Bikehubstore.com - I can get 1350gram wheels for £200! Although it'll cost £70 for building them at my shop.

Anyone know of a U.K version of this shop, or who sell parts separately and will build my wheels?

Cheers.
Why not try your local bike shop?
First place I went. And for a custom build to that weight would cost £500, and I'm on a budget.

I tried before and failed badly. But still a good idea for someone who's experienced, lol.

I wasn't experienced when I first did it but with the book to guide me I made some decent wheels and since then its got easier and the wheels better. But if you never start you will always be at the mercy of the wheel sellers and wheel builders.

I can true a wheel, but building is another story. I think I'll go for the wheel components from BHS now.

Cheers to everyone for the answers/input too
