If a Uber driver takes you all round the houses to get to your destination, should we except that. My wife seems to think it's OK. We're as I don't. Am I wrong?

Not if they charge per mile.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I've never used Uber.

Some years back my American niece visited London. She was in her early 20s at the time and was in an unfamiliar city in an unfamiliar country. She needed to get somewhere and I was baffling her with endless public transport options and permutations, because, you know, all that local knowledge is important. Train here, tube there, short walk and change, get a bus, blah blah. She just whipped out her phone and summoned an Uber, rendering me utterly superfluous.

My time is precious. You waste it - I’ll ask you why…..so no. Not acceptable.

Why do you think this happened / is happening ?

On a trip to Vegas someone told me to say to the driver "go through the tunnels" otherwise you get a glorious round trip of the desert.

Ten dollars instead of 40.

We could see the airport from the fire escape in our hotel (MGM)
