Uno-X take the advantage in Chrono des Nations, Wærenskjolds 5th and Carl-Frederik Bévort's 8th easily outscoring Oliver Knight's 7th and the three point hauls of the other two Cofidis.

Sakarias Koller Løland wins the Veneto Classic for Uno-X, and rockets them into the WT. What a finish to the season - his first pro win as well!

I thought Cofidis was able to race every WT event anyway...auto wildcards ?

Sure they’ll get a few wild card invites but will
still miss out on a lot of good events. They had my favourite bike & Campag set up too.

They've got the third automatic invite spot (not wildcard, I think that was just a terminology confusion). They'll get to race all the WT races they want this season. Tudor and Q36.5 are the two others. Next season might be different.

It notes that there are admin checks going on, so this isn't certain yet. There's also some interesting implications lower down the league with both Solutions Tech-Vini Fantini and Euskatel-Euskadei missing a new 30th place division line for grand tour invites.

To be fair, Astana were so far back and looking so disjointed other than the Cav Project 35 last year (which looked like it had taken far too many resources for UCI point gain - though undeniably an incredible and worthwhile feat) that pretty much everyone would have them pegged to go down. It's easy to say "go to 1.Pro and 1.1 races and farm points" but it's not exactly a secret method and everyone was trying to do it. UAE were arguably most successful, though they also farmed monuments....

On the UCI Points Promotion/Relegation thread there seems to be evidence that they'll be continuing, potentially with new sponsors

Yes I saw that after I'd posted the above. I guess billy big pockets will keep funding it whilst searching for sponsors, but I just think the whole brand is now toxic, only a pro Israel brand would want to come in and that would attract same protests. Any other brand coming in is going to get associated with Adams which presumably isnt what they want. we'll see....

I guess we won't have a terribly long time to wait to find out what's going to happen. I'd be amused if Cofidis got an utterly undeserved reprieve. I suspect it won't happen.
