Ultegra or Dura ace

Now I am not a super fit whippet or a fantastic rider, just a normal everyday rider that wants the best bike I can afford, so as the wifes bike is on old sora gear and I want to upgrade from 105 I have been thinking I can kill two birds with one stone...........she gets my newish 105 gear onto her bike and I upgrade, I was originally thinking Ultegra but now the new DA is out I can just manage the 7900 DA kit, I know theres not much difference in Ultegra and 105, but would I see a difference if I went DA ........obviously I would see the price difference but the kit itself, what are the gains.

Other than weight and aesthetics, not really. Maybe just get the 11 speed ultegra

The DA would have to be off ebay s/h but Ultegra would be all new kit and for a saving of 330g is it really worth it taking a chance on used kit.........decisions

That's different. In which case, buy new Ultegra.

You have to remember that you have to have an 11 speed compable hub if your going 11 speed Ultegra or DA

The hub is compatible but I will be sticking to 10 speed as I really dislike the new DA and Ultegra styling
