I came across this fantastic word earlier quite by accident, never heard of it before. And then I thought to myself that the vast majority of people during their lives have been ultracrepidarians at some point or another.

I know I've been guilty in the past of maybe sticking my nose into a subject I haven't truly grasped, but yet have a say on it as if I knew what I was on about.

Haven't we all? How about you?

You don’t want to spell it like that.
It is hyphenated ultra-crepidarians.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Literally it means something like "going beyond the sandal". It comes from a story about a cobbler criticising a painting.

.A shoemaker is entitled to comment on matters related to shoes (and sandals) but not on other matters.

He is the epitome of the word I think. Followed closely by the character from the Fast Show in the pub who tells everyone how to use the fruit machine, and organises everyone's change, only for it to go completely wrong and everyone loses out, whilst he just walks off

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I've based my entire career on ultracrepudarianism. Otherwise known as blagging it.
You are not alone...

I remember one guy many years before that, blagging a job on the basis of 3 years of (totally fictitious) experience in C. He spent his first couple of months with a copy of Kernighan and Ritchie balanced on his knees under his desk!

Fake it ‘til you make it, baby.
The aforementioned programmer quickly picked up C and a few years later got himself a lucrative job in the computer games industry.
