Unbalanced bike

riding to work this morning I attempted to put my gloves on whilst riding, I discovered that to do no handed requires balancing the bike over to one side as it's constantly trying to go left.
The Raleigh chiltern I had(sold Saturday ) would ride with ease no handed along the same stretch of road.
I don't know what could be adjusted to make it track in a straight line
Any suggestions?

Keep your hands on the bars?

Check that the wheels are 100% in line when the front is straight ahead - use a piece of string to check

This as a first check. Might also be worth seeing if the headset is well adjusted. Rode a real dog of a bike once. Straight away it felt unsteady. Once the slightly tight headset was adjusted, it was much better.

check your brake cables on the left side, i had a bike that pulled to one side, it was the outer cable that was too tight under the bar tape effectively pulling the handlebar to one side
