Couple of evenings ago someone two block away from me, simply threw this on the street.
OK, I can understand they were maybe tired of it, but why not re-home it, or even sell it?
Bet it cost a fortune if one was to buy it.
To me, what they did is the same as abandoning an unwanted pet in the streets ... well, maybe not, but, still, it's a living thing that would have died outdoors during the frosty spell at night.
I saw it on getting home after work, it wasn't there in the morning when I left, so I knew tere was a chance it would still be alive.
Took the bike home, went back to get the poor thing: a quick check assured me it had a chance at survival, but needed a drink of water urgently.
It is now indoors again, perking up, emanating a lovely smell too.
This is what I rescued:

I might re-home it in a few weeks, because my flat is really to small for it, in the meantime BigCat and I are enjoying looking at it.

I thought, without my specs on, it was a plant of the Cannabis Sativa variety,,,
Hahahahahaha!
Well, I thought at first it was a fake plant, but there is sap coming out, so it lives ... hurray!
I thought it was some kind of bamboo, but @flyingfifi, who knows about this stuff, recons it's a kind of indoor palm.
Is Cannabis not short and bushy?

Depends on the variety and the knowledge of its 'gardener';)
'Mr Green' used to be the Internet guru (not the casino dude)
