Undertaken, whilst overtaking.

Yesterday, I was dropping off the missus and daughter by car.

Spotting a cyclist in the distance I indicated right and got into the outer of the two lane dual carriageway we were on.

As I approached the cyclist I could see a car coming up fast behind me which then proceeded to undertake me whilst overtaking the cyclist, three-abreast.

The moron then got fed up with the inside lane and tailgated someone in the outer lane before weaving in and out several more times, naturally without ever indicating.

Had the appearance of some idiot out in his Sunday hobby car [MR2] thinking he was at Brands Hatch, but to me he looked a complete tw@t in his hairdressers car, and the standard of his driving was shocking.

Glanced in my mirror to check the cyclist was OK and thankfully he was, but no thanks to the idiot in the MR2.

Pity you didn't stop and have a word with the cyclist.. maybe if 2 "separate" incidents had been reported to the Plod they may have taken a dim view of the ar$ehole and paid him a visit.

Normally I would stop, but unable to on this occasion.

Episode left me thinking that maybe I left the cyclist too big a gap which was seized on by the MR2 cretin. There again, the twonk would probably have tried squeezing through however small the gap and the unfortunate cyclist would have been the one to suffer.

As my normally benign wife put it at the time...." Go on, do us a favour and drive into a tree. " That's the MR2, not me.
