I'm just remembering how impressed I was that the cast of Skippy were all fluent in 'Roo!

Man: Hi Skip, how are things today?

Skippy: Thck, thck, thck ...

Man: What's that, the kids are in danger?

Skippy: Thck, thck, thck ...

Man: Jeez, they've all fallen down a mine shaft!

Skippy: Thck, thck, thck ...

Man: And there is an atom bomb down there!

Skippy: Thck, thck, thck ...

Man: And the timer is set to detonate it in less than 1 hour!

Skippy: Thck, thck, thck ...

Man: Right, here's the keys to my car. Drive to the shaft and I will follow in the pickup truck - it's got a winch which we can use to get down to the kids.

Skippy: Thck, thck, thck ...

Man: Oh, thanks for reminding me, Skip - I will bring the snips so we can cut the red wire to disable the nuke!

I loved that kangaroo series.

I can still remember the theme tune:
Flipper, Flipper, Flipper the bush kangaroo ... (and so on).



And that other kids' show. The Magic Stick. When a boomerang was thrown, time stood still.

The kangaroo has allegedly got a talent for music, particularly Baroque contrapuntal music.
He is very good at playing the Hopsichord.

That's so contrived and forced it's actually good !
