How good are they? I have 1 Shimano 1 Tektro and 2 sram full hydraulic disc brake bikes. Any experience and tips pertaining to these kits?

At present I only need to pay attention to one sram system . It's the Via Gt set up, based on Avid Elixir design.

Just a little bump and to add the system has dot 4 oil in it. Do I have to stick with that of is dot 5 ok?

Used it on SRAM. Was pretty good.

SRAM uses DoT 5.1 fluid. DoT 4 and DoT 5.1 are interchangeable, but Dot 4 will have a lower boiling point.

DoT 5 fluid is different to DoT 5.1 and they are not compatible. Don't use DoT 5 with SRAM.

You are best using a new kit for each system (don't use syringes contaminated with Shimano mineral oil to bleed a SRAM kit or vice-versa).

As above.
Stick with Dot4. No need for 5.1.
You can get a higher boiling point Dot4 btw ,so pop to Halfords and get a 250ml bottle.
Don't buy SRAM "special Dot4" as it's just Dot4 wherever you buy it
