Hi everyone. I have a spin bike at home and want to clip my feet to the pedals to avoid back problems. The existing pedals seem to have a cleat system but I am unable to recognise which one it is and which cleats I can use with it. Can anyone enlighten me? I have attached a photo. Thanks for any help.

I don't think those are clipless pedals hence the straps?

Can you put compatible clipless pedals on it?

It looks like those pedal castings would accept a cleat mechanism but one was never fitted by the manufacturer, like @vickster says £20 for new pedals.

Just remember that one pedal is reverse threaded when you swap em.

Looks like one hole was drilled and tapped by the manufacturer but the other never got done. They may have been intended to take a wear plate.

Thank you all for your replies. I think I may fit Shimano M324 SPD pedals so that the missus can use the other side of the pedal without clipping in. Hopefully I can fit a cage to them too. Maybe there are similar
But cheaper reversible pedals out there?

Wellgo do something similar. Can't recall the model number

Here bit cheaper than Shimano (might be other sellers too)

You might find cheaper used on eBay. Or try a wanted ad in the classifieds on here
