Unremovable screws? (without special tool)

Seems a lot for a bottle cage that no scrote is going to pay attention to.

I thought it was expensive with some kind of tracker on it? Anyway, you could be right. In which case normal hex bolts would probably suffice

we have a £15 screwdriver and bit set that we keep in the house and even those cheapos came with the 5 lobe security screw bits.

Have you counted the lobes? Usually, they come with 6-lobe screw bits, not 5-lobe.

Alternatives include snake eye screws.

I know firsthand that you can’t unscrew clutch head screws. So while I wouldn’t use them for a bottle cage, I have used 1-way screws in other applications.

It’s a very simple task to disasemble an AirTag and take out the sounder. Yes, someone may be alerted that an AirTag is moving with them but then they have to find it. It’s a good bit more difficult if it can’t make a sound. I have one hidden in each of our cars.
