I had a another cyclist who didnt cause any problems to me as he was cycling in the opposite direction. He was on a BMX and absolutely bombing it down the road through a pinch point with about 3 cars behind him. He was barely doing 15mph I pressume and looked like he had just sat on a hedgehog! I am sure he collapsed in a pile on the floor behind me.

It's also worth bearing in mind that everyone make mistakes form time to time

I had a driver today who overtook me on the brow of a bridge (you can see the vid on YouTube). As he overtook, he nearly collided with a Jaguar coming in the opposite direction. It might have been a bit mean but it abslutely cracked me up.
I laughed for a few seconds and then concentrated on chasing him to have a few words.

I think you have to put yourself in their position. I used to get annoyed when held up by others.....even (or especially) when on a cycle path. However, I sometimes quite like pottering along when not commuting. In fact I positively crawl along when out with the kids. The fact is that most cyclists are relatively unfit compared to us pros.....and some are old codgers who haven't exceeded 15 mph in the last 20 years. It's also worth bearing in mind that everyone make mistakes form time to time (except for me of course,) especially not checking when avoiding obstacles. Whenever the occasion arises that you have to compensate for others inferior riding skills, then you should give yourself a pat on the back (not when riding, that's dangerous,) and be happy in the knowledge that you are far superior to those with less experience. Amen.

Post of the day for me. Just because you can ride at 20mph+ doesn't mean you always can. EVERY road user, be they ped/cyclist/biker or driver, has a duty of care for themselves and others, yet strangely it's the care of others they all seem to ignore.
