Unused bike, what gear?

The summer bike is off the roads for a while, what gear should I leave it in or does it make no difference?

triple front, 9 speed rear.

I'm with Ianrauk here.
Maybe don't ride it in the snow, but there's always nice days, even in the middle of winter.
I rode my Carbon Uberbike on the CTC pub ride in the week, and then to work the following day.
