That response is what I would call a "fob-off". In other words, they cant be bothered to deal with it and hope the rider will simply go away. Thats the impression I get. I know the Vexatious Litigant on YT also has had similar responses, even when buzzed by uninsured and unregistered drivers when he was practically in the gutter

They had disregard the complaint that is for sure, but they have in the process made some clearly erronous statements opening themselves to serious questions of competence and integrity. They have handled this very badly.

At no point was that car "within its own lane" but in what I guess over in the UK would be hatched road markings.. Disgusting attitude from the police.
