Update: I recieved the outcome of the complaint.
A bit odd they had the reply to me ready once i contacted them through twitter.
Based on the email it seems the driver was sent back to school.
I asked my dad what "appropriate action" would normally be here. Since he worked at the company once i thought he would know. In reply he said that "I suspect the driver would be sent back to the driving school" If not the driving school there would be a further period of suspension to revise the drivers records at the company. If it is found a similar incident has happened the driver would be dismissed"."Normally incidents like the one you were in are taken very seriously and the current manager hates bad pr".
email as follows
Dear Mr

I was extremely sorry to learn of the most unfortunate incident you recently experienced on 02 February 2013, with the driving standards of one of our employees operating on our 309 Cobalt Clipper Service

All of our drivers undergo extensive training in our training school before operating on any of our routes. Driver standards are monitored, not just in training but throughout their career, and refresher training is provided periodically or where necessary.

I can assure you that the driver concerned has been traced and interviewed by their Service Delivery Manager in connection with the circumstances surrounding the incident you describe.

All of our company vehicles are fitted with CCTV cameras, and we have viewed the footage surrounding this incident in conjunction with the video you sent in to us. I can assure you appropriate action has been taken to ensure incidents like this do not happen again.

In consequence, may I take this opportunity to sincerely apologise for the obvious distress this incident has caused you and thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.

It is our policy to continually monitor our services using the feedback we receive from our customers; this is reviewed individually and periodically, by managers and directors. If you experience any further problems with our services in the future, please do not hesitate to contact myself or another member of the Customer Services Team on 0845 60 60 260.

Yours sincerely

Especially as someone (like me) who doesn't read the forum every day has no idea what you're referring to.
