Upgrade from 8 to 10 speed

Hi looking for advice I am going to be upgrading from 8 speed Claris to a 10 speed I have my tiagra 4600 shifters at present and just waiting for an 11/32 10 speed cassette to come could any one recommend a sutible rear derailleur and would I need to change the front one

Depending on what RD you have you might not need one but you will need a new chain and possibly a new chainset. You won't need a new FD.

I would look for a 4600 me h also a 10 speed fd as I had iszuis using g a 8 speed one with 10 speed and rub that I couldn't fix

I already have a tiagra chainset which says 10 speed my Claris rear derailleur is a rd2400 I would also buy a new chain as 10 speed are narrow and understand cannot use an 8 speed chain

IIRC the 10 speed Tiagra used a different pull ratio to other Shimano 10 speed road gruppos, so id go for a 4600 mech to match the levers.

4600 uses the same as the other old 10sp, and the old 10sp mechs also work with any Shimano 8 or 9sp (though the narrower cage can cause rubbing on wider chains).

The one to watch out for is 4700 which is 10sp, but the levers/mechs use the new 11sp standard for cable pull.
