It seems like all my gadgets, lights etc now require powering up via USB and so I was thinking about getting something like this:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-51a-jelly-usb-charging-station-n71qc
- The Jelly is a 5.1A USB charger powerful enough to charge 1 Tablet and 3 Smart Phones together at maximum speed
- Its [sic] the size of a large coffee cup and the power cord fits neatly inside the silicone cover
- The cover is removable to make the Jelly a compact and lightweight charger for travel use

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or better recommendations?

Looks good to me.

You need to workout the total output you need.

For instance an IPad needs 2.1A, and the Iphone 1A

So aharge two Ipads and an Iphone, and there will be no power left for the remaining slot

You have to be aware of this.

Personally I use the more "intelligent" PortaPower version

Ok, put it this way. The gadgets that would be using it, though rarely all at the same time, include a smartphone (most use), Taz 1000 front light, iPod shuffle, mini speaker, Cateye rear light and the Garmin if the battery's properly dead (otherwise gets topped up when it's uploading the ride data).

@Cunobelin - do you mean these guys? http://www.portablepowersupplies.co.uk/mains-car-chargers/

I Use the Quad, it usually manages an Ipad, Iphone, GoPro camera and a Garmin 810

Note - the Crystal is an update to this, so may be better
