Using bearing lock compound on a BB30 axle?

The axle on my FSA cranks makes graunchy noises in the inner bearing races. Cleaning it shows evidence of fretting and even erosion in small areas. Reassembling with Copaslip stops the noise for a while but it returns after 200 miles. Can I reassemble with bearing retaining compound? Will I be able to disassemble it next time I overhaul it?

Try PTFE tape wrapped around the Hollow shaft this may take up any clearance between it and the bearing, and wrap in the opposite direction to rotation so that it doesn't bunch up.

The clearance wouldn't allow PTFE tape! The axle is a snug fit in the bearing races, it takes quite a bit of pressure with a mallet to drift it out.

Is it axel to bearing or bearing to cup/frame that's the problem. Bearing/cup could be addressed with a lock compount, but you'll want a low bond type at the very least.

I'd upgrade to hollowtech ! Or better still square taper cartridge

I may be mistaken but I don't think there's much difference between BB30 and Hollowtech - BB30 has a plain axle rotating in cartridge bearings pressed into sleeves whereas Hollowtech has a plain axle rotating in cartridge bearings screwed into the BB shell.
