Well, only one woe really. So far..
I took off the rear v-brakes to give 'em a good clean as they had begun to stick, even with the brake cable disconnected. I realised that on one of the arms the little pin that locates in one of three holes in the boss had stuck in the boss. This was perhaps why the brake was sticking though there may be other reasons, as normally the tension on the main holding bolt should keep the whole assembly in place.
I've tried re-inserting the pin into the arm to no avail.
Is it new brake time or should I persist in my efforts to re-insert it?
The brakes are avid single digit 7's and previously worked fine. If I'm going to replace the brakes should I stick with the 7's or go for Shimano XT (same price).
Your contributions would be most welcome
