Does anyone know how to turn the pressure DOWN on the above boiler? Mine is permanently on the red mark so I am a bit concerned. I know how to turn it up but not down.

Bleed the radiators apparently gives the quickest and easiest result.

I inadvertantly overpressured my mums a couple months ago, it took a while to settle down (i didnt know to bleed the rads then) but it was ok anyway. Theres a relief valve should things go way too high anyway.

If it gets too much it will just vent it out. Just run ya heating on full whack for a bit, it should settle back down.

There should be a blow off valve, but best bleed the rads to let a bit out. Remember if there's air in the system it is likely to expand and contract rather more than liquid so the pressure will vary a lot. Bleeding should reduce that and hence reduce the swing. Mine (different make) conks out if the pressure is too high so I needed to bleed it to fire it up. I guess there should be a blow off valve too but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working

Thanks everyone. I have a bleeding key somewhere so will look for it tomorrow and give a go. Glad to hear it is safe to use it in the meantime.
