What's his next appeal based on? The last one was to the Swiss courts that the CAS didn't have whatever necessary authority or something wasn't it? Cycling News says it was turned down on a technicality, so will it be the same appeal again but... better prepared?

Good news for all in a way, although sad as I liked his style when he first broke through.

Maybe he'll be a Spanish Landis - we certainly need a Spanish whistle-blower, and expose the Spanish teams he's ridden for (although I doubt it :biggrin:)

I think the UCI should change the fixed 2 year ban to a ban of varying length depending on "cooperation"

This could allow them to ban Valverde for life if he wants to continue to be in denial. Or, in exchange for the inside story of doping he's seen, he may be prepared to negotiate down to a 2 year ban.
