Van Raam Opair2 bicycle
Designed for a wheel chair user/disabled passenger
The front detaches from the rear for storage, and the front end can be pushed rather than pedalled from behind
It all appears to be all working ok, and a test ride (with me on the front if you like) is absolutely fine
8 speed gears, hydraulic front discs, mudguards and wheel covers all fitted
Being a Van Raam it's very well made and despite the age (they were manufactured from 2004 to 2017) it's in nice condition. The front foot rest area (plastic) had had what looks like a glued 'repair' which has done the job, but is not cosmetically pretty. The paint was bad on this bit, so I tarted it up a bit with a rattle can. By no means invisible or perfect, but a bit better.
Some little surface rust spots on the central spine, and I'm sure you'll find the odd scuff/mark/scratch you'd expect on a second hand bike
You are welcome to arrange and pay for your own courier to collect it, but please come and view it and try it out first, if you can. If you live miles away, maybe another CC user could come and view it for you and let you know their findings?
Again, test ride more than welcomed and the Millennium Path is only about 1/2 mile from here if you want a good try of it first
I bought it for someone in particular in mind, but sadly it didn't work for them
£400, and I will make a donation to a brilliant local (bike/disability related) charity
