We need to make drivers aware of Cyclecraft and the national standard for cycling.
What is the use of cyclists being trained to this standard when all we get for following the rules is abuse by motorists?

Why leave yourself having to cross lanes just before a red light? Safer to take up a position, if that provokes a mouth-breathing knuckle dragger to undertake it's not the cyclists fault any more than if the driver goes on to sexually molest a hedgehog, which looks likely in this case.

Hi veloevol, I think your positioning was fine but you missed a great opportunity there to have a reasonable discussion with the driver. I don't understand why you suddenly started shouting and swearing at him unless it was because the lights had gone to green and you wanted to make some sort of impression on him before he had to move off.

I've been asked the same question in similar circumstances, however I try to educate not alienate.
