good news! (of sorts)
Michael Hopkins' Olympic Velodrome has been shortlisted for the 2012 Stirling Prize

the bad news is that
- the other projects (at least those I've seen) are rubbish
- the best vantage point for the velodrome is from the A12, from which bikes are banned.
still, and all, it's great that its getting some recognition. I confess I have seen it from the A12, and it's very, very striking
