I would just like to clarify that whilst I've read the rules, I have no clue who the Velomiwaserfaces actually are, or where they come from but do like to jump to prejudiced conclusions based on huge assumptions.

As a member of the BNP, I would like to point out it's clear that in this great country we use Miles and whoever uses KMs is obviously a foreigner who has no right to be here.

As the son of an immigrant ..... Would love to meet you one day and discuss your BNP views

On BNP policy .... Poppycock!
This country couldn't function without immigrant workers. Has been the same story for many decades.
If BNP policy was invoked tommorow .... The UK would have no doctors/nurses/builders/lawyers or computer IT services ... To name but a few ;)

Edit: this will be last post on this tangent conversation

I think the main reason I continue to use miles is that it's what UK road signs use.

I use miles as that's what I'm used to. Plus when I go out to do a century I intend it to be an Imperial century; doing a metric century would leave me feeling somewhat shortchanged at the end of it.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
When the uk uses Km on the road signs then i might use them, until then i will stick with miles, i even tend to use inches rather than cm etc but i am of a certain vintage where i was bought up with both.

I think the desire to use KM over Miles by Brits was all about confusing none cycling people

Now that cycling is the mainstream what's the point

The rules are good in some cases and total bo77ocks in many others
