Although my club obeys "the rules" and despite the fact that I was born and raised in Europe, I find it very hard to keep a conversation with most people here when my references are in km, km/h etc. So, I keep it simple..
I do agree with the concept behind the rule, its is though probably the hardest one to obey..;)
However, unlike most of my fellow cyclists around, I do respect the pronunciation of origin for most cycling related brands/ events/locations..

As far as I am concerned, the 'Velominati' are just a set of London-centric post pubescent twits, who feel the need to wrap their current lives with 'rules', in order to show off their worldliness, despite just a few initial visits to 'Europa'. :boxing:

Begrudgingly though, I'll admit that perhaps some of their rules are reasonably sound. :becool:
As far as i'm aware, none of the people that run Velominati are even based in the UK, let alone London.

I have tried, in the past, to make the switch - thinking it would be more 'pro' but ended up spending half of the ride doing Kph into Mph conversions in my head! It's Mph, for me

I would just like to clarify that whilst I've read 'the rules', I have no clue who the Velomiwaserfaces actually are, or where they come from but do like to jump to prejudiced conclusions based on huge stereotypical assumptions.

As a member of the BNP, I would like to point out it's clear that in this great country we use Miles and whoever uses KMs is obviously a foreigner who has no right to be here.
