First post on here. Just returned from a few days touring in Normandy. I thought it would be worth giving a few details on the “Veloroute du Lin”, eventually due to link Dieppe with Fecamp further west down the coast. A traffic free section runs from Le Plessis at Petit-Appeville to Saint-Pierre-le-Viger, about 25kms. This follows the route of an old rail line. Not ideal for fast “roadies”, in places there are too many Stop signs. A lot of them can be happily ignored, at touring speed, as the intersection is often an overgrown farm track. There is a short section on road, through a residential area, at Luneray. Happily this routes you past a Café Tabac, handy for a coffee stop. There is also a good bakery a few 100m down the road in the village. If you fancy a break from the coastal climbs in the region it’s a good alternative route.
