Velox Cloth Bar Tape

Anyone using it? I quite fancy some but I remember back in the day the gummed back used to cause the edge of the roll to fray as you applied it and it sometimes looked an unholy mess on the bike. It was never a problem when the adhesive was only in the mid section of the tape, but most makes had it gummed all the way across.

Is it still a problem?

I recently put some on my BSA Tour de France (see pic in link in sig) I don’t recall it being anymore difficult to apply than other tape.

Just had a look at the rolls I've got for re-taping the Equipe and the adhesive ends a couple of mil before the edges,

I must get round to doing it soon, I've had the tape in a drawer for a few years now,
