- the post-brexit wasteland
on today's club run, a club mate of mine (and very occasional poster on here) was going down a steep descent, rough single track road with boulders at the side. one sheared off fork steerer later, and he careers into the rocks.
fortunately, despite no helmet, he seemed only to have (one presumes) bruises and a nice chainset oily stain on his (assos) back. could have been so much worse. the bike was a van nicholas and the fork steerer in question was alloy.
he'll feel that in the morning, but hope he's back on one of his other (50) bikes soon
all in all an eventful club run, which also saw two visits from the p fairy, driving wind, relentless climbs and near horizontal snow.
